Born and raised on the island of Cyprus, I have been fascinated by photography since my early twenties, when a transition from painting to photography slowly took place. An ongoing process for me, that is still evolving, influencing my artwork profoundly.
I really enjoy exploring various genres of photography, but portraiture is what I’m really passionate about. Human faces are so unique and so are people’s characters, emotions and expressions. I love capturing this uniqueness, this individual beauty, a raw beauty as I see it, and the story that goes with it. Frozen in time forever.
I’m based in Cyprus, but I often travel abroad since my interrogatory nature pushes me to explore and find new, raw material to capture on film. No need to say more as Ansel Adams once stated “A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.” I believe that the same applies to photographers, or at least most of them.
